The summer holidays are over, but that doesn't stop us from dreaming a little. For example, with this country house in Tuscany: Casa Morelli is a holiday villa and a true architectural masterpiece with custom-made furniture, art and industrial pieces.
In the heart of the Chianti Classico region, in Tuscany, lies Casa Morelli, a 233 m² holiday villa. The house was originally built in the 16th century in a classical Tuscan style. In 2020, it was time for a renovation, which was carried out by Munich architect Tobias Petri in collaboration with the interior design studio Holzrausch. This ensured that the country house became a sleek, modern and stylish retreat. As part of the renovation, the open-plan living area and study were added to the house.
In the interior, a simplicity of materials prevailed.
In the interior, a simplicity of materials prevailed. A coloured cave stone was chosen for the floors, bathrooms and showers, from which the kitchen was also built. Hand-carved plaster adorns the walls and the old chestnut beams were sandblasted. Although these materials are fairly dark, the large glass panes let in a lot of light. Most of the interior elements in Casa Morelli were completely custom-made: the shelves, cabinets and kitchen, and a washbasin and bathtub, which were milled from solid Tuscan travertine blocks. The living area is housed in a large, open space, where a large window overlooks the terrace and acts as an electric glass sliding door. When it is fully open, inside and outside completely merge. From the terrace you have a beautiful view over the vineyards, olive trees, woods and hills of Tuscany. In this way, Casa Morelli becomes a true architectural masterpiece in the heart of Tuscany, decorated with custom-made furniture, art and industrial pieces. The online platform Welcome Beyond, known for its collection of boutique hotels, once again let us dream away with this Tuscan refuge where it is very pleasant and comfortable to stay, surrounded by a beautiful landscape.

In 2009, two of Berlin's brothers, Oliver and Chris Laugsch, decided to start a company that combines all their passions: travel, architecture and design. This was the beginning of Welcome Beyond, an online platform that selects residences from all over the world based on architecture and hospitality. As a result, the website offers a wide range of unique accommodations such as beach houses, bed&breakfasts, hotels, chalets, holiday homes, villas and even private islands, yurts and igloos.
