Today, Imagicasa once again has the opportunity to present a recent project of a partner. Luxury Simplicity is a design by our partner interior designer Britt Thomas which we immediately fell in love with. Our readers will undoubtedly also be charmed by this fine piece of work.
Luxury Simplicity is a penthouse where the level of comfort and wealth is as high as the house itself. This is a project that was commissioned by a private client. Besides the focus on the necessary luxury, the emphasis here is on a subtle nod to the Art Deco style. For Britt Thomas herself, this concept was also a pleasure to work on, partly because from the very first presentation the design completely matched the client's preferences and vision. As a result, only minimal adjustments had to be made. When we look at the photos, we understand completely that the client was happy from the beginning. An interesting detail already is that there are quite a few round and organic shapes in the interior. The presence of rounded tables and furniture has an uplifting effect that prevents the luxurious approach from feeling too distant or unnatural.
On some places a warm yet controlled colour palette was chosen.
Not only do the underlying Art Deco influences create a feeling of luxury, but the use of various noble materials is also an important building block for this. Among other things, Britt Thomas used oak parquet, coloured oak veneer, metal coating and marble. The last-mentioned material is, for instance, prominently present in the bathroom. In addition, a warm yet controlled colour palette was chosen in some areas. Recurring shades are, for example, red, brown and cream. Nevertheless, the interior designer also reserved space for grey and white elements. The whole is an inviting home that demonstrates that cosiness and luxury are anything but mutually exclusive. Furthermore, the Art Deco inspiration can clearly be found in the furniture, as well as in the decoration.
If you did not like Art Deco before, perhaps Luxury Simplicity has changed all that. Imagicasa is happy to have been able to put this project of partner Britt Thomas in the spotlight and is looking forward to the rest of the year together.
