House of Grey is a British design studio led by Louisa Grey and designs interiors with consideration for the health of the occupant and the planet. Thay have developed a 'whole-person-whole-world' approach to designing and building spaces for clients which combines their signature aesthetic with 'salutogenic' design principles. The studio has been designing commercial and residential projects for over twenty years and also provides styling advice and creative consultancy.
The studio follows a unique philosophy when creating their projects. Namely, that man and earth should enter into a symbiotic relationship. A relationship that not only benefits us, but also the earth. They do this by conducting research into different types of materials that are good for human health and that after disposal can actively feed the earth. In each design, this principle is applied to create an interior that benefits everyone in a natural way.
The studio follows a unique philosophy.
House of Grey's styling projects are characterised by neutral colours and natural materials. The great thing about this is that the interiors not only look soothing and sustainable, they are also designed and built with the environment in mind. Soft shapes and fabrics make the spaces cosy and intimate. Louisa Grey understands like no other the power of an image or a space. According to her, an image can often say more about a product or person than words. Grey explains this as follows: ‘A well styled image, whether still or moving, is an invaluable asset for a brand, providing a cohesive narrative which communicates your intention in a single frame.’ Looking at the images, we cannot deny that the British studio has produced exceptional projects. Louisa Grey has a remarkable vision that focuses on the future. Not just the future of interiors and design, but the future of all of us and the world we live in.
