Only few places have a holiday feel like the one in Ibiza. This beautiful finca of TO Interior Design received the name Can Chic and was designed to remind you of that and to, simultaneously, unite the traditional elements with other influences. Together with the beautiful environment, the result form an exceptional home that brings out the best of the island.
TO Interior Design was founded by Theresa Obermoser and is active from London as well as Vienna. Usually, she designs photogenic spaces that fall in an elegant but practical style and that, in addition, perform very well on social platforms such as Instagram. The portfolio of TO Interior Design proves that residential as well as commercial and hospitality projects are carried out. Moreover, clients can rely on Obermoser for an approach that starts with the first concepts and that continues until the final finishing. Can Chic is more than a finca. The home is located in San Josep de sa Talaia, on the west side of the island, and combines the traditional finca with contemporary lines. The best of two worlds, and not only on the inside. Namely, the surroundings show both of their major strengths: a view towards the rural land and a sea sight. Naturally, the astounding environment helped in creating the design, considering that it makes the authenticity hanging in the air even more attractive. Even though Obermoser wanted to present her client with a more modern version of the Ibizan finca, she designed everything with respect for the national style in mind. Because of this, the contemporary character of the home feels like a natural step that gives modern living comfort a Bohemian look that reminds of Tulum, Mexico and Mykonos, Greece. This was strengthened by influences of Scandinavian minimalism and African rustic elements. Although Obermoser gained inspiration from several continents, Can Chic leaves no room to doubt that she knows how to conduct all these voices perfectly.

There are no less than six bedrooms in Can Chic. To continue the level of luxury, next to this indoor kitchen also an outside cook- and dining area was provided. Furthermore, the home contains a home cinema and a spacious swimming pool with luxury sunbeds. In order to maximally utilise the Mediterranean surroundings, the garden has an orchard where you can plant olives, figs, and lemons. In total, Can Chic is extended over 3000 square metres of outdoor space and 500 square metres of indoor space. Inside, the Bohemian style of Ibiza echoes in the natural colours, a comfortable hanging bed, linen fabrics, and micro-cement flooring. Loyalty to the party character of the island was proven in the form of a cocktail bar. To make the rooms look extra cosy, Obermoser also added vintage elements, baskets, and wood. As finishing touch, Lawrence Van Hagen selected the most beautiful pieces of art. The end result is an astonishing home of balanced luxury that makes anybody daydream of high temperatures and slow days of relaxation. TO Interior Design designed Can Chic, and how. This amazing holiday home in Ibiza enriches the national authenticity with external influences. The peaceful atmosphere that houses there again proves how important interior can be in determining our mood. Staying in Can Chic therefore equals staying in paradise.
