Nordiska makes custom qualitative kitchens that are grounded in Scandinavian design. Not only are their designs proof of an innovative vision but also their methodology brings a fresh wind in the kitchen landscape. Imagicasa lost their heart to a kitchen that Nordiska built for architect Henrik Schulz.
From passion grows quality. In Nordiska’s case, their passion results in timeless kitchen design that becomes the beating heart of every home. Their kitchens are fully tailor-made for the customer in Gothenburg, Sweden. Remarkable about their way of working is that all contact happens digitally and that the company is not dependent on physical locations to design your kitchen. Thanks to their digital strategy, they can also push down on the prices of their beautiful kitchens. Concerning the style of the kitchen, Nordiska leaves maximal room for personal input. That is to say, you can choose between different styles, ranging from a strong delineated minimalism to a more traditional shaker kitchen. Next to this, each design is available in a colour of choice and the selection of materials is vast. The specific kitchen that we want to highlight here is from Nordiska’s wooden assortment. More specifically, it concerns a design with oak and limestone in Villa Clara, the home of architect Henrik Schulz. The warmth of the wood of choice perfectly matches the general atmosphere of the house and the forest surroundings. Moreover, the limestone is a welcome break from the strong presence of the wood and together both materials form the guideline of an inviting space. The five-meter-long kitchen island is also the central point of the entire house and receives a lot of light that enters filtered through the fair curtains. Therefore, the kitchen bathes in light and, due to the general layout of the home, feels like a place of openness, irrelevant of the cosy chaos that often takes place there.
The five-meter-long kitchen island is the central point of the entire house.
However, Nordiska also considers the less striking parts of a kitchen, such as the faucet for example, which in this case is made from the beautiful copper of Vola. The combination of warm oak, limestone and copper creates an attractive and calm atmosphere. Furthermore, the symmetrical and streamlined look of the kitchen is something that returns in every design of Nordiska. Together with the distinguished quality of the material and the installation, it is the memorable aesthetic of the designs that puts the brand on the map for a long time to come. It is thus no surprise that their kitchens are places of happiness across stylistic boundaries where residents and guests can spend time together and experience culinary enjoyment.
Kitchens from Nordiska are more than a place to cook a meal. They are the central point in everybody’s home and are a meeting place at every time of the day. The large offer of styles and custom work demonstrate that anybody who likes to be at home benefits from having a look at Nordiska.
