The ship Acheron is a familiar face for Elft Interieur. In 2006, they designed the complete interiors for this then newly built ship named ‘Sustento’. Elft kept it minimalistic. The new owners shared Elft Interieur’s love for a clean look, but desired a bit more warmth and light. Elft designed and built a new desk, placed a wallcovering with stone strips and made a dresser and a custom-made TV-cabinet. You could hardly recognize the ship anymore.

In the second phase, the wheelhouse was completely renovated. The former owner had chosen an all-black model, but the new ones preferred white. To achieve this without having to start from scratch, Elft implemented their self-developed innovating process so that the lectern received a full make-over in one single day. The walnut tablets were replaced by a solid surface. A beautiful floor replacing the old carpet on the ship’s deck is the perfect finishing touch.
