- Interior
We are always excited for a beautiful residence that is located in Antwerp, the home base of Imagicasa. Recently, we started daydreaming when looking at the images of Antwerp Penthouse from CC Studio, where you can find a haven of rest and neutrality in the middle of the city. Therefore, we would like to present this design to you.
CC Studio is the life work of Carmen Christiaansen. From the heart of Antwerp, she designs magnificent spaces that find inspiration in nature and incite moments of relaxation and experience for their residents. In her work, Christiaansen likes to experiment with texture and soft hues while always allowing the light to guide her. Moreover, the central values of her studio include simplicity, purity, honesty, beauty and happiness. For this project, she relied on Olga Kozicka and Radoslaw Nicgorski to realise the visualisation of her design. The combined forces of these three individuals generated something wonderful. The result came into existence in November 2021 and is a beautiful dialogue between natural materials and a muted colour palette. The penthouse is in the bustling heart of Antwerp, more specifically exactly between the historic and new city section. Christiaansen’s motivation was to design a space that invites you after a busy day to let go of your worries and occupations when you close the door behind you. Therefore, the interior forms a strong contrast with the hectic city life that is happening outside. For this reason, you do not merely enter a peaceful environment in Antwerp Penthouse, but rather a cocoon that, as it were, surrounds you with softness and rest from beginning to end. Nevertheless, the urban aspect stays with you the entire time since the spacious windows offer an amazing view of the city. And before you know it, you’re ready to dive into the hustle and bustle of the city again.
The interior forms a strong contrast with the hectic city life from outside.
Christiaansen chose a sober design that offers the residents a stable support in their living experience. Here, think of a colour palette that revolves around creamy tints. The flooring consists of light wood and fits in with this harmoniously. In the kitchen, we see a look that combines stone and wood, in this case a darker variant of the second one. If cooking is not on the table, you can also heavenly relax in the sitting area that with its round shapes invites you to lay down. Moreover, the designer avoided all superfluousness. Because of this, the interior is reduced to the essence. In order to still provide the penthouse with the right decoration, she selected, among others, earthy vases and a dark abstract artwork. We are proud that our own city is the backdrop of such breathtaking residences. Antwerp Penthouse is an attractive counterpart of the noise from outside. Here, you relax while the world keeps on spinning. And whenever you are ready, you leave this penthouse and start spinning along again.
