On the sun-drenched coastline of Southern California, where the Pacific Ocean crashes rhythmically against rocky cliffs and the air fills with the salty aroma of the sea, Electric Bowery has once again proven why it is one of the most forward-thinking architecture and interior design studios of our time.
The studio understands that the way we live is constantly evolving. People no longer strive for success in the traditional sense, but seek meaning, balance and fulfilment. The boundaries between work, home and leisure are blurring. Our living spaces should therefore no longer be merely functional, but also become a reflection of who we really are, places where work and play come together in harmony. This insight is at the heart of their designs: spaces that adapt to the diversity of modern life and that are both inspiring and practical. Their designs reflect the values of a new generation that no longer keeps work and private life strictly separated. Workplaces are becoming increasingly personal and home spheres increasingly creative. This offers opportunities to approach architecture in a new way: not as a collection of walls, but as an environment that supports growth, creativity and well-being.

In their projects, the studio creates spaces that are not only aesthetically refined, but also thoughtful and functional. Every detail is carefully considered so that it not only brings visual beauty, but also enriches everyday life. Whether it’s a boutique hotel, a family home or a creative workspace, each design is a celebration of the unique needs and personality of its occupants. They are spaces that inspire, connect and bring out the best in people. What sets them apart is their deep-rooted collaborative spirit. They believe that the best designs are born from dialogue, where architects, clients and craftsmen work together to shape a vision. In their projects, everyone is part of the same team, resulting in spaces that are not only timeless, but also personal and meaningful. Let us take you to Casa Loma.

Originally built in the 1980s, it was once a simple coastal hotel, a haven for travelers who craved the tranquility of the ocean. But Electric Bowery saw much more than just a place to stay. They saw an opportunity to tell a story, one rooted in Laguna Beach’s rich history as an artist community, in the flowing curves of the ocean, and in the intangible magic of a place where creativity and nature collide. Working with graphic design and landscape studio ORCA, the studio brought a renewed vision to life, drawing inspiration from the beach’s original surfboard makers, artisans who had mastered the art of shaping wood to perfection. Their influence can be seen throughout the architecture and interiors, where organic forms and artisanal materials come together to create an atmosphere of calm and inspiration.
