- Architecture & development
Inspiring architecture that pays attention to both aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability is something that we always appreciate at Imagicasa. Our partner BEO Architecten recently worked on a new project called Sirius Gardens, which combines all the above features and thus deserves some attention here.
BEO Architecten's young, dynamic team has a passion for architecture, and it shows. In close collaboration with the clients, they always develop architecture that does not compromise on surroundings, space, light, and use of materials. Every detail is taken into account. The team takes the time to listen to your needs and wishes and plans sufficient feedback moments, so that a satisfied customer is always guaranteed. Unique, thoughtful designs in which comfort and functionality are the most important features are what this company stands for.
Recently, the team was asked to create a design for Sirius Gardens, a beautiful development in the heart of Waasmunster, Belgium that consists of 13 luxury apartments and two houses. The building is situated in the middle of a green area, in a partially walled old monastery garden, which immediately provided an important guideline for the architecture. Thus, the project clearly has a contemporary, urban approach, but is at the same time linked to organic elements, such as soft shapes and natural materials.

Complementing the clean lines of the building with organic canopies and terraces creates a harmonious whole that also looks less austere. On the ground floor, this is done in one movement; on the first floor, there is an interruption that makes the whole nimbler. Furthermore, a bald brick façade was chosen in combination with durable wooden cladding. The canopies and terraces in exposed concrete provide a nice counterbalance to the calcareous stone and warm wood. The sustainable aspect has been considered as well. Thanks to energy-friendly heat pumps and underfloor heating, a smart ventilation system, and the possibility to reuse rainwater, we can speak of almost energy-neutral residences.
This unique project has some great strengths, such as its green surroundings, beautiful architecture, and attention to sustainability. Sirius Gardens is therefore tailored to the challenges of today and tomorrow and is guaranteed to give its residents a warm feeling of home.
