Warm wood plays the leading role in this impressive Casa Rio Vista. Surrounded by lush vegetation, the interior and exterior of this villa, designed by the Argentine T+T Arquitectos, is shrouded in a natural palette.
The architectural office T+T Arquitectos is based in Buenos Aires and was founded in 2012 by befriended architects Luciano Tiscornia and Matias Tenca. In each project they bring creativity and innovation. ‘We do not provide standardized solutions, but we do respect a working method that guarantees quality, efficiency and creativity in each proposal,’ the studio notes.
The abundant use of wood provides warmth in both the interior and exterior.
The realisations of T+T Arquitectos are always characterised by formal simplicity and attention to detail and finishing. This is also evident in their beautiful Rio Vista house. The large villa is built up from clean, straight lines and both inside and outside wood plays the main role. The facades consist of thin wooden panels and that wood look is also reflected inside in the furniture, walls, ceilings and finishes. The abundant use of this natural material provides warmth in both the interior and exterior. Here and there we find lighter shades of grey that contrast nicely with the brown. Think of the furniture, floor and cushions on the terrace and the marble in the bathroom. Furthermore, the house was decorated minimalist so that the architecture and choice of materials come into their own. Images courtesy of T+T Arquitectos
