- Interior
The soft, refined designs from Laura Calleeuw always appeal to us. With her critical eye and tons of experience, she manages to turn every interior into a success. For this pool house in Zwevezele, Belgium, she was responsible for the decoration, in which a feeling of domesticity and warmth prevailed.
The interior architect creates designs that radiate elegance and timelessness. Functionality and a clear connection with the customer's personality are important requirements for her as well. Various parties worked together on this pool house in Zwevezele. Laura Calleeuw ensured the perfect decoration, starting from two big questions. First and foremost, the colour shades in the natural shell limestone were examined. These include ochre and terracotta, which were taken into account in the finishing of the individual furniture and the accompanying textures and colour palette. For example, to create a harmonious whole, the fabric of the cushions is reflected in the pouf and we also find ochre and terracotta in the veining of the marble coffee table. Next to this, Calleeuw looked for the perfect type of wood for the coffee table. She came up with walnut, which fits perfectly within the warm whole.
A number of well-known brands were chosen for the furniture.
A second important question was how homeliness could be brought into the space, which is dominated by the rough natural stone. She found a solution in the use of soft, fluffy materials, for example in the large carpet and cushions, and soft lines, such as in the chairs and tables with soft rounding. Thanks to the many windows, the environment is immediately drawn in, but the decoration gives the pool house a warmer touch and ensures that it remains an inviting, cosy place to stay even during colder seasons. The fireplace also contributes to this. A number of well-known brands were chosen for the furniture. The dining table with a special shape is by Bieke Casteleyn and forms a beautiful combination with the dark brown and black Elle Chairs by MS Wood. The side table comes from Evolution21. Finally, the grey Edra Sofa provides instant comfort. Calleeuw’s hard work resulted in a warm whole that combines high-quality materials with refined designs.
