ArquiPartners designed this house called CASA JO that is located in an emerging neighborhood in the center of Tulum, Mexico with hospitality in mind. The team used a curved shape for the building, which thus appropriates the terrain. In this way, atmospheres and climates are created that maximise the relationship between the interior and exterior.
ArquiPartners is a firm in Mexico that focuses on the design, construction and development of real estate. In their projects, you often see plants and nature recurring, and that is again the case in this visualisation. The colour palette focuses mainly on gray tones, but also features white, beige and wood tones that complement each other nicely.
The materials are based on the region, which was a requirement for this project. For example, tropical woods were used for the carpentry and polished concrete on the floors and walls. There are also a number of artisanal ceramics that blend in with the existing palette of finishes. By emphasising the natural features of the region, ArquiPartners sought to create an environment that evokes peace and tranquillity.

Outside, the first floor features an oval-shaped pool that extends to the house and contrasts with the curved building. Inside, the kitchen and living room are connected by a double-height circular room. This acts as a sitting area and is the coherence of the entire project. The large windows across the room provide light and warmth to the space. The bedrooms are located on both levels, where flexible openings are provided that allow for modulating the degree of light and wind. On the top floor there is an additional meeting room and a small cinema room. Furthermore, on this level there is and semi-covered, wooden structure; this invites all kinds of recreational activities. In addition, a panoramic swimming pool is located on this level. Thanks to the many recreational activities and airy spaces, the house exudes hospitality and invites you to unwind.
