Kanstantsin Remez, a Belarusian architect, designs the concept house II Introvert Residence. Introvert is the concept of a minimalist and secluded residence. Remez is also the architect of 600cApartment, a project that previously appeared on Imagicasa's blog.
Unlike 600cApartment, II Introvert Residence is not a realised project. It consists of renders of a concept house. This house consists of a rectangular walled domain divided into three different zones: the living room, the rest of the house and the swimming pool.
This creates a visually very well thought-out house with many lines of sight.
The living room is in a separate building so that the resident can isolate himself mentally and physically. To ensure visual privacy, the house is completely walled with strategically lowered walls in places where one would want to look outside. Even though Remez is convinced that not only nature should provide an inspirational view, but architecture as well. From the main building you can look through the living room building to the swimming pool. This creates a visually very well thought-out house with many lines of sight. Passers-by are discouraged to look inside, but within the walls the house remains very open. Grey concrete and glass is mainly used on the outside and inside. This creates a very uniform whole in spite of the separate rooms. Because of the non-existent finish, the house is experienced as very minimal.
Remez uses little decoration or interior objects to focus on the geometric shapes of II Introvert Residence. In the main building one finds a kitchen, an office with a separate bathroom and a bedroom with a bath. Each room is very soberly decorated with only the absolutely necessary objects and furniture. This minimalism is a characteristic of the Introvert concept and Remez' practice. He once again succeeds in convincing us that he is the true master of minimalism.
