In 3D, natural materials also offer unmatched possibilities to designers and architects. OVIUM design proves this again with the project called HHdesign, in which she let loose her love for cobblestone.
Tania Vlasenko is the founder of the Russian OVIUM design that makes 3D visualisations of interior designs. When she travelled to the North of Spain a few years ago, inspiration hit as if it were lightning. Namely, she immediately fell in love with the natural texture of cobblestone in the local villages. She daydreamed when standing at the majestic old houses that were made from this material and decided to start working with it as well. The result of her inspiration is HHdesign, a non-commercial 3D design that is close to her heart and that she situates in the Spanish Huesca. Her idea was to design an interior that would last a long time and contains natural materials, among which cobblestones of course. Another important material that she used, is wood.
The cobblestone gives the modern space an authentic layer.
According to the philosophy of Vlasenko, in projects with old houses it is the challenge to create a new story without impairing the old one. Although HHdesign only has a visual form at this moment, from the beginning the designer paid a lot of attention to constructing a clear domestic identity. Since the living area is a fundamental part of each home, Vlasenko spend a long time on the layout and completion of it. Naturally, she used cobblestone for most of the walls, which immediately gives the modern space a unique layer. Moreover, she used beams and shelves out of wood to form the space, as well as a coffee table from the same material. Because of its darker colour, the latter is also a welcome change from the light colour palette. A simple yet sophisticated eyecatcher is the chandelier from Apparatus. The warm vibe of the living room continues in the bathroom. Here, the wood takes the upper hand, which creates a softer feel that is perfect for this space. Additionally, the black sanitary is an interesting opposite of the rather cream-coloured ground floor. Nevertheless, the entire design is never in danger of appearing unbalanced. The large mirror and double sink consistently continue the level of comfort and the light walls ensure here a calm atmosphere as well that rejects any turbulence. With HHdesign, OVIUM design shows the power of inspiration. In a magnificent way, they allows the natural cobblestone to do the talking and to engage in a dialogue with the dark wood. We are a big fan of her vision and hope that Tania Vlasenko stays true to her style in the future. And that she continues to travel.
