Eric Kuster is known for his 'metropolitan luxury' style and designs interiors with an urban, cosy, sexy and cosmopolitan vibe. Also in this beautiful Lakeside Villa on Lake Geneva in Switzerland, we see Kuster’s signature style. Pieter Elzenga, manager at Eric Kuster, told us more about this beautiful project.
Kuster was mainly inspired by the architecture of the villa and the beautiful surroundings. The living room is Pieter’s favourite room in the villa "because you really have a very nice view of the lake and the gigantic mirror fireplace makes that view twice as large! Although the spa is also really fantastic". In this charming house you will also find a gym, swimming pool, cinema, several bedrooms and extensive entertainment areas. You'd almost think it was a five-star hotel! As usual, Kuster opted for soft earthy tones and precious metals as a colour and material palette. "We don't often use colour, these beautiful earthy tones are really our signature," says Pieter.

The owners certainly wanted some design classics and art objects in their home. Kuster integrated this by, for example, using the 'Vito' armchair and the special Boca do Lobo 'Eden Center Table' and by keeping some of the pieces from the owners' own art collection. Each and every one of them is an eye-catcher according to Pieter. The shower and hammam in the spa also catch the eye thanks to the onyx wall with lush golden and bronze mosaic tiles.
As with any project, there were challenges involved. "In Switzerland, there are very strict rules about building. That of course made it even more special that we were able to achieve this here. Taking into account so many rules and inspections was a challenge. But challenges make a project even more fun," says Pieter.
We asked Pieter how he would describe the end result: "It is a great result that we have been able to achieve with the Kuster team and the owners. I think it really is the most beautiful house at the lake there." Imagicasa couldn’t agree more!
