Our partner JUMA Architects renovated this old townhouse with an eye for detail and the residence’s past. The subtle colour palette and the many customizations create a home in harmony where tranquillity prevails.
Behind the architectural firm from Sint-Martens-Latem are Julie Van de Keere and Mathieu Luyens, who have been realizing beautiful residences since 2009. Personal contact with the client is crucial for them: above all, a home must radiate the client's personality and evoke emotions. Functionality and aesthetics come together beautifully in all their designs. Sustainable, contemporary designs that are timeless is what we see reflected in all of their projects. 
Deze herenwoning werd door het duo volledig gerenoveerd. Dat resulteerde in een elegante, luxueuze woning waarin van kwaliteitsvolle materialen gebruik is gemaakt. Door een proces van zandstralen en kaleien werd het authentieke karakter van de voorgevel in ere hersteld. Ook de houten ramen en de voordeur werden zoveel mogelijk behouden. Dankzij het verouderde parket met brede planken slaagden de architecten erin om de charme van het herenhuis te bewaren. Bij het binnenkomen wordt je aandacht ook meteen getrokken door de achterliggende patio met een prachtig zicht op de zwemvijver. Omdat de patio over een overdekt terras met geïntegreerde haard en sauna beschikt, kan ze bovendien het hele jaar door worden gebruikt.

The colour palette mainly consists of white tones, alternated with dark tones for the cabinets and the staircase, for example. The rust-brown accents in the living room add a cosy touch. In addition, the latest technology was used to provide for ultimate comfort. For example, a home automation system was installed in the home and heating was concealed as much as possible using underfloor heating and convectors.
