The unique design by Kordas Architects is located in the northern suburbs of Athens. The flat seeks to create an aesthetically pleasing space that meets the needs of its owners. Although the project has not yet been realised, the visualisation images already warm you up to the real result.
Kordas Architects' design approach for this flat in Kifisia, Greece, focuses on a contemporary lifestyle for the owners. The ambition was to create a minimal living space combined with rich textures, flowing, curved surfaces with a soft and warm colour palette. This gave the flat a very warm and pleasant atmosphere, and further created a deliberate balance between strict minimalism and homeliness. These conceptual guidelines run through all the rooms, creating unity and a uniform experience.
The abundance of light contributes to the architectural design.
The living room, kitchen and dining room develop into an open spatial unit, while the private areas of the flat, the bedrooms and bathrooms, are located in a separate area. In addition, the balcony blurs the boundaries between inside and outside. The owners can enjoy a wonderful view of Kifisia from the living area. Furthermore, the abundance of natural light contributes to the whole and the most ideal living experience is aspired to. The architectural design approaches the interior as a sculptural whole, with curved geometries defining the forms and function of the home. Textured finishes on the walls, floor and ceiling create an optical illusion where surfaces flow into each other in an architectural atmosphere. The minimal number of decorative pieces emphasises simplicity, purity and serenity in the rooms. Want to get enchanted by more impressive projects and inspiring architecture?
