This project by Studio Andrew Trotter seems just like an image out of a dream: three traditional white holiday homes situated between olive trees in the countryside of Puglia, Italy. Under the blazing sun, they radiate a sober luxury.
Studio Andrew Trotter is a Barcelona-based multidisciplinary studio that focuses on architecture, interior design, product design, and design consultancy. Their distinctive sober, minimalist style has an international reputation. The studio is currently working on projects ranging from private to holiday homes, event spaces, and boutique hotels. Their designs are mainly found in romantic locations, such as coastal towns and the countryside. A gem in their portfolio: Borgo Gallana. Borgo Gallana is the name of these three stylish holiday homes. The structures already existed, but it is Studio Andrew Trotter that is responsible for their current construction. They have extended the existing buildings to create three separate houses. The studio also designed the courtyard between them, as well as the two stairwells on either side. All houses have architectural, vaulted ceilings and cement floors. The main material for the structures was local sandstone "tufo". The interior, which exudes the same sober luxury as the exterior, was styled with vintage tables, chairs, ceramics, and lamps. Studio Andrew Trotter was responsible for the design of the sinks and kitchen worktops. Each house has a king-size bed, bathroom with shower, and a large kitchen. Each has a private courtyard with outdoor pool/shower, stone bench, and outdoor kitchen. Finally, a 40-square-metre swimming pool has been constructed on the land, where guests can go to for refreshment.

In short, despite their sober appearance, these holiday homes are the perfect location for a luxurious holiday. Imagicasa is a big fan of the minimalist, elegant style of Studio Andrew Trotter. Their projects make you dream away. Photography by Salva López
