CJH Studio designed Penthouse M – a sobering oasis that perfectly reflects the coastal environment within its interior. Sandy colours, soft materials, textures and undulating shapes are the norm here.
The Australian CJH Studio is an interior design and architecture firm run by Cassie James-Herrick. With extensive previous experience, Cassie founded the studio in 2017. And although it's still quite young, they've already completed several high-end projects with the same refined aesthetic. With an eye for detail and a perfect understanding of materiality and spatial planning, Cassie designs timeless interiors where sobriety, personality and elegance are at the core. Penthouse M was designed with CJH Studio's characteristic holistic approach. The timeless abode is situated on the coast and that’s very much reflected in the interior. You immediately recognise beige, brown, white and cream tones reminiscent of the beach and feel the familiar serenity of coastal environments. That sandy colour palette is beautifully complemented by views of blue sea and sky. The entire interior, from materials and colours to details and textures, has a feeling of softness. The lower level of the penthouse has an open plan. The kitchen and living and dining area merge into one beautiful whole because there are no partitions and everything is wrapped in the same monochromatic colour palette.

One of the highlights is definitely the staircase. It’s not only a functional element but also a sculptural and decorative one in the living space. The round shape of the staircase is thematic throughout the apartment. Everywhere we find undulation, rounded and convex shapes. Just look at the furniture, lighting and decor as well as larger elements like the bath, cupboards, walls and kitchen island.
The penthouse is an stunning, open oasis with a sober palette of colours and materials to enjoy the coast in serenity, both inside and outside.
