Common ideas often bear the sweetest fruits. The team behind the Australian Studio Brent Lee proves this with their representation of talented architects, interior designers, and furniture makers. In their portfolio, you see one project after the other with a shared elegance and a timelessness that is incorporated into every corner. By presenting two separate but cohesive projects, we hope to initiate you further into their creative kingdom.
We are happy to start off with MT Townhouse. This residence contains two floors and is provided with a generous bedroom. For this project, the primary intention was to let a feeling of delicacy and softness prevail. The incoming light enters a pleasant canvas through arched wood windows. Limed floors, ceilings, and walls masterly play with the sun rays, while the selected furniture makes the living experience even more special. Namely, these pieces were designed by the studio themselves and therefore form a continuous line with the architecture. A dining table in travertine immediately reminds of a sculptural design, whereas the lounge area and the bed were inspired by the work of Jean Prouvé and Charlotte Perriand. An inviting travertine bath rests under a lime-lined arched entrance and is located next to the window, which enable you to enjoy a lovely wellness moment and a nice view at the same time.
The white hues are accompanied by greyish and brown additions
The second design we want to introduce to you today is called Vaucluse Residence: a prime example of a balanced proportion between inside and outside. By starting from the idea of a seamless transition between the two, the studio designed a home that flaunts large sliding doors that range from floor to ceiling. More concretely, you see an impressive living area with an open construction. The high ceiling and the winding staircase immediately give the design a wow factor, while the adjoining dining area and kitchen promote the open character of the social aspect to a higher level. Even though the architectural shapes are mainly monolithic, the residence remains spaciously interesting thanks to the right ratios. Off-white limestone walls start on the outside and continue in the interior, meaning that this transition happens even more fluently. From the start, this light colour sets the tone for the entire design. Namely, you constantly arrive in subtle shades that are all located in neutral territory. The white hues are mostly accompanied by greyish and brown additions, together with the presence of different textures. For example, the studio also included travertine, limestone, oak, and linen. Accents in darkened and aged brass could not be missing either, together with the needed vegetation. Studio Brent Lee constantly presents projects that exude a high-end tranquillity. With us, their calming designs that originate from a fascination for luxury and qualitative living find a hungry onlooker who is always wanting more. We obviously look forward to the next time that their vision is transported into skilled creations such as these.
