We previously introduced you to the beautiful, serene interior designs of Singapore-based studio TE-EL. Using honest materials and elementary shapes, they always create a balanced and elegant whole. The project we are showing you today, called Kingsgrove Apartment, is again a perfect reflection of their signature style.
Kingsgrove Apartment is located in Singapore in a bustling city-state where daily life moves fast. Therefore, the focus in the design was on natural materials and soft colours to create a peaceful retreat for the family living there. We see a sober colour palette of beige, cream and brown with black decorative details. The apartment was also redesigned to create a more open living space. This better suited the lifestyle and needs of the family.

When you enter the living space you are surprised by the soft atmosphere where yet interesting details can be found. Different textures and black accents break the sober palette and bring a certain balance and finesse to the space. Think of the woven, wool carpet, limestone, wooden stools, side tables and TV cabinet and the dark details in the coffee table, the artwork on the wall and the floor lamp. The bedroom and other private areas were also given a sober and slightly warmer look. TE-EL provided a careful layering of different natural materials, textures and colours in Kingsgrove Apartment. In this way, they created a timeless, inviting, serene and cosy whole, perfect for family life. Photography by TE-EL and Studio Periphery
