Zaha Hadid Architects have done it again. With the imposing and luxurious design of One Thousand Museum, the architectural firm managed to impress us once again. You, too, will certainly be amazed by this special project. Let's take a look together!
By now, you should all be familiar with the beautiful designs of Zaha Hadid Architects. The world-famous architectural firm has put a lot of special, impressive buildings on the map of which we've showed several to you. Today, it’s their most recent project's turn: One Thousand Museum. Don't let the name mislead you. It's not a design for a museum but rather a 62-storey residential tower opposite Museum Park in Miami.
“The design expresses a fluidity that is both structural and architectural.”
"The tower’s design continues Zaha Hadid Architects’ research into high-rise construction that defines a fluid architectural expression consistent with the engineering for the entire height of a structure," they say. The building has a concrete exoskeleton that structures the perimeter in a web of flowing lines. These curved lines of varying thickness make the skyscraper look very elegant. "The design expresses a fluidity that is both structural and architectural," says project director Chris Lepine. The design takes into account the strong winds that can occur in Miami. For example, the tower was fitted with specially shaped structures and constructions that are hurricane-resistant.
The tower will have several apartments extending over a whole or half floor, a penthouse and a townhouse unit. On the upper floors, there will be an aquatic centre, lounge and event space. And there will also be gardens, terraces and swimming pools above the lobby.
