Working with a new partner and immediately being able to present a beautiful creation by them to our readers, that's what makes Imagicasa happy. So now we would like to take some time to shine our spotlight on luxury fabric brand Evolution21 and its latest showpiece: The Bubble sofa.
What started out as a great passion for fabrics eventually resulted in Karine Bonjean’s own business: Evolution21. Since its foundation in 2010, the brand has grown into a fixed name in fabrics and textiles, both in its own country and far beyond. The success formula? Bonjean's creativity and excellent eye for detail, the combination of tradition and innovation and the focus on Belgian craftsmanship. The Evolution range now also includes furniture pieces, such as their latest sofa, which we are pleased to showcase here for the occasion. A few months ago, the brand launched The Bubble: a strong example of craftsmanship and quality in a modular design that combines cosiness with high-quality customised finishes. Bonjean found inspiration for the design during the corona crisis. She wanted to create an inviting sofa for every family that cherishes togetherness. But it would not be just any sofa. ‘I wanted to create one that is made up of various round elements, which you can combine individually but also with each other.’ The result is a unique masterpiece, with eight different elements in the collection, each of which has its own specific shape and can be combined endlessly to create different angles and shapes.
This variation is also found in the finish and the fabrics. For this sofa, Bonjean designed a special bouclé fabric, a high-quality linen cotton that is easy to work with in the round forms. But the sofa is not only stylish, it is also a beautiful piece of durable furniture, with legs in solid walnut veneer and a table with walnut leaf. This ensured that the piece of furniture would last for generations.

The sofa is available in two versions. One is more solid and consists of slightly smaller and straighter elements, so that you can easily sit upright. Ideal for a low-dining setting: the place to have an aperitif and a bite to eat. On the other hand, the sofa was also designed with a slightly softer seating comfort, so that it can be used as a sofa in the living area. ‘It is perfect for cosy evenings in front of the fireplace.’
As cosiness also means a rug, Bonjean decided that this element should not be missing from The Bubble story either. She designed a carpet with an organic shape that fits perfectly with the different elements of the sofa. Taking inspiration from their existing Fiori pattern, a flower with pronounced petals, she created a design in 100 percent merino wool combined with angora wool. To complete the sofa, she also designed cushions and plaids in different colours, using their own fabric collection. With the utmost attention to quality and detail, Evolution21 has created a beautiful sofa for every family to enjoy together. For Imagicasa, The Bubble sofa is the perfect way to introduce this new partner, and we are looking forward to seeing what they will impress us with in the future.
