Acro Suites is a boutique resort that consists of no less than forty-nine suites and villas. The location is Agia Pelagia, which lies about twenty-two kilometres from Crete. The complex is built on a rocky peninsula; in this stay you are, thus, sure of impressing surroundings. The initial idea was to create a luxurious haven where you can turn to for absolute privacy and endless sea sights. Considering the environment is an important part of the total experience, it was decided that the Cretan landscape would be integrated in the interior and architecture. So, the design is based on a harmonious connection between an organic and modern conception on the one hand and traditional elements on the other. Namely, thanks to the open space and large windows, a feeling of continuity and an interaction between inside and outside developed. As for the materials used, they are all natural. In the resort, you will find local stones, as well as Egyptian and Cretan marble that decorate the custom-made furniture in each room. Furthermore, rust-coloured marble and chestnut wood were used, but also solid oak and reed wicker. Each room is flooded by bright daylight that enters through the windows in soundproof aluminium. Thanks to the pressed cement mortar, the walls are covered in warm tones, which only enhances the pleasant feel. 
Also, other things besides the impressing interior have a lot to showcase during your stay in Acro Suites. Each suite has a private botanical garden where several herbs diffuse the nicest smells. Next, the architecture offers a glimpse into the past. As a result of incorporating some classical architectural elements of Crete such as domes and stone arches for example, the unique complex opens a dialogue between simplicity and discrete luxury. To complete the traditional feeling, you can also visit Bath House, which found inspiration in the Byzantine bath model. Another asset of Acro Suites is the ecological responsibility that the residence takes on. That is to say, the building was developed with a very low energy consumption in mind, and it was included in the A+ category. Moreover, they built a yoga shala that covers no less than three hundred square metres and is, more importantly, completely made of bamboo.
