Our new partner ar-architecten surprises us with one of its projects. These high-end professionals have a keen eye for quality, and the result is beautiful. Imagicasa takes you to this new construction project where the promising architectural firm took care of the secondary building.
ar-architecten is a young and promising architectural firm that focuses on private and residential projects. They optimise cooperation between the client and the building team, which ensures that all parties work smoothly together. The architect remains the client's confidant and focuses mainly on design and process control. Moreover, the architectural firm wants to be able to offer the client a total package. Recently, they designed an open annexe where the emphasis was on transparency and shade.
The design features a high degree of finishing.
This specific wish of the client in this project immediately turned into a challenge for the architectural firm. The result was a design in which open and closed continually explore each other's boundaries and flow into each other beautifully. As a surplus, ar-architecten designed the annexe in harmony with the existing modernist house. A limited number of smaller interventions resulted in a perfect interweaving of the old and new volumes. The surrounding landscape was seen as a binding factor and as an inspiration. 
The well-considered material palette consists of brick, wood, natural stone and glass, which could guarantee a solid timelessness for this project. We will keep an eye on ar-architecten for more inspiring projects in the future.
