Australian design studio Conrad Architects combines traditional and contemporary influences in a residential project in Los Angeles. An understated palette and rich textures form the basis for the sand-coloured interior design of Los Angeles Residence.
Conrad Architects is a Melbourne-based studio, but has already realized projects all over the world. They are multi-functional and offer a wide range of services, from architecture and interior design to urban planning and detailed construction drawings. The Los Angeles Residence project was not exactly around the corner for them. Yet the clients chose the Australian studio for their understated yet luxurious style and finish.

The main colours in the interior are neutral beiges and blacks. Conrad Architects combines this subdued colour palette with a wide range of rich textures, including shiny marble, natural stone, plaster, wood and rough textiles. The designers primarily use natural, sustainable materials, creating a subtle sense of luxury and calm. 
The house is living proof that restraint and richness can live together. This way of designing is one that we at Imagicasa are big fans of. Homes that are minimalistic and at the same time feel full and warm are very popular and it's not hard to see why. Conrad Architects already knows how to create these kinds of interiors very succesfully. Thanks to the talented studio, Los Angeles Residence became a profound project that is not only beautiful to look at but also invites you to touch and experience it.
