Desimpels new collection enlarges the texture of the tiles so much that they become something between upholstery and interior objects.
In 1997 the company Dominique Desimpel was founded in Knokke, Belgium. Desimpel founded his brand out of a passion for stone, ceramic tiles and pots. Other cultures form the basis of Desimpel's work. He looks at the world through natural stone glasses and is inspired by artisan potters and tile makers from all over the world. The showroom of Dominique Desimpel is located in Knokke. Here he preserves an impressive collection of tiles and ceramics he has collected over the years.
The cooperation between reliable Van Den Weghe and innovative Dominique Desimpel was therefore inevitable
In the new collection Desimpel draws texture to the extreme. The tiles are no longer tiles in the classic sense, but 3D objects that decorate a wall. They are suitable for indoor and outdoor use and are produced according to traditional methods. The interesting design would fit perfectly in a minimalist interior with simplistic furniture. Since 2017, natural stone giant and IMAGICASA-partner Van Den Weghe has taken over Dominique Desimpel. Van Den Weghe is an international company, founded in the sixties, that trades in natural stone. The cooperation between reliable Van Den Weghe and innovative Dominique Desimpel was therefore inevitable.
