Today, Imagicasa would like to take you to a recent project in the south of France, designed by our partner Obumex. The interior design expert was allowed to unleash her talent on a home located in Saint-Tropez, a very exclusive location with excellent surroundings.
The client's architect, Stephanie Coutas, renovated the entire house but left the kitchen design entirely to the care of Obumex. Moreover, the client gave the interior designer carte blanche, taking into account that the kitchen should function well and include a lot of appliances, as well as being able to accommodate a large family. That is why this second residence was given a spacious custom-made sofa with a view of the terrace and the sea. 
The kitchen design was given very luxurious finishing details.
Obumex chose to house the kitchen in the former covered terrace. Thanks to the large glass sections and large sliding door that can be opened completely, the outside meets the inside. In this way, the kitchen becomes part of the terrace with a beautiful view of the ocean. The choice was made to use mainly rounded shapes to create a more exclusive and softer character for the kitchen. The very large central and inviting kitchen island is equipped with a bar between tall cabinets that provide the necessary storage space. In addition, there is a long cooking area with a hot plate and teppanyaki. 
The colour palette consists of different shades of beige, so the wall units were given a slightly lighter colour than the base units. The high cabinets were given a raffia covering with a sandblasted beige veneer to give the whole a luxurious look and to move away from the typical high kitchen cabinets. The decorative bronze profiles, mirrors and marble shelves gave it a luxurious finish. This makes the design look less technical. Near the bench are two more large oval tables finished in mortex that were custom designed for this project, the idea of being together is again reinforced here.
