- Interior
In Knokke-Zoute, surrounded by woods and typical villas with thatched roofs, Grain Designoffice integrated a modernist house, called BL Residence. The interior reflects a story of grandeur in an intimate way.
Grain Designoffice is a creative studio founded by Sander Bullynck and Nick De Moor in 2016. The studio creates residential interiors and also branded architecture, this is the full integration of brand strategy and architecture. This means that they don't only do interior design, but also think about branding, strategy, web design and even playlists. They help clients translate their ideas into exciting private, hospitality or development concepts. So, they know how to meet the customer's needs from an early stage. At the same time, they lay a solid foundation for a great future. The studio believes in creating a strong story that makes guests' experience so meaningful that they want to come back for it again and again.
Living spaces are connected by strong sightlines.
This villa tells the story of the joy of inviting friends and family into your home. From the entrance hall, the house opens up through a strong architectural perspective to the backyard and terrace. These perspectives are a common thread in the concept for this house. The different living spaces are defined and connected by strong sightlines. Thanks to plaster finishes with bleached cherry and burnt poplar accents, the soft interior preserves the serene atmosphere of the house in its surroundings. This soft atmosphere is complemented by the use of various custom-made pieces of furniture. The fact that the kitchen is kept quite intimate, in contrast to other rooms, creates an additional living space for the family. Thanks to the right design choices by Grain Designoffice, a beautiful modernist home has been created that radiates cosiness and togetherness. We are looking forward to future projects of the studio.
