- Interior
Framework Studio was commissioned by a family business to transform a historic building into an office. To achieve this, the Amsterdam and Paris offices of the design agency joined forces. The result is a beautiful office with clear French influences, characterised by simplicity and refinement, with wood finishes and characteristic furniture and artworks.
Today, we are not looking at a home interior, but rather at a beautiful office in Amsterdam. Its artful appearance makes you dream away immediately, and that is thanks to Framework Studio's design. The design studio, based in Amsterdam with branches in Paris and Ibiza, does not allow itself to be characterised by a specific style. The character is central to each project, and important to the studio is to merge the geography and local materials with the history of the building and the needs of its residents. The Amsterdam and Paris offices worked together for the first time, transforming a historic building in the heart of Amsterdam into a family office with a distinctly French look and feel. The office, on the second floor of the building, houses four offices and a meeting room, and looks more like a home or art gallery than a workspace.
The original wooden floor and French oak veneer create a natural and calm atmosphere.
The simple and refined concept of clean lines and oak surfaces is carried through in the entire office. All offices and the meeting room feature oak wall panelling, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The beautiful original wooden floor has been restored, which in combination with the French oak veneer creates a natural and calm atmosphere. The refined pieces of furniture only add to this feeling.
The client is a young art collector. It was therefore only natural that works of art and characteristic objects should also be given a place in the family office. Abstract plaster sculptures by Belgian artist Florian Tomballe stand alongside abstract wall art by artists such as the Dutch Lucas Hardonk, but vintage furniture pieces could not be left out either. The design unites the best of Amsterdam and Paris in a beautiful office that exudes elegance and is proof of Framework Studio's combined talents. Is this collaboration between the Amsterdam and Paris offices the first of many? Imagicasa hopes so.
