The special and impressive Desire House was designed by architect Wunschhaus AT and 3D designer TABARQ. The concrete and metal building looks almost like the inside of a snail shell or a rolled up ribbon and serves as a holiday home for an Austrian celebrity and art collector.
TABARQ is an architecture visualization studio creating 3D visuals for architecture, design and real estate marketing. Their portrayings of unbuilt projects bring you closer to reality. The architectural images are very high in quality and very realistic. ‘As architects we have a technical and narrative approach that enhances the beauty of spaces, where colour, light, and composition create high-impact 3D visuals, persuading the viewer.’ The designers strive to produce positive feelings that evoke and retain interest and fascination.
The design was inspired by the iconic Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao designer by Frank Gehry.
With the impressive Desire House they captured the attention of Imagicasa! The modern house is a holiday home situated in the beautiful Austrian Alps. The design was inspired by the iconic Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao designed by Frank Gehry. The house is presented as a work of art in itself and was designed for the Austrian journalist and art collector Desirée Treichl-Stürgkh. She wanted a very organic house with lots of light and wood and a modern minimalistic atmosphere that is also cosy. Of course, art also played an important role. ‘Thus we created a wooden interior and at the same time designed a very organically shaped house with metal cladding that can withstand the rough alpine climate,’ says Murat, Technical Director of Wunschhaus. In this way, they fulfilled her art wish on the exterior, because we can definitely say that the house itself already looks like a work of art. In the interior, too, her passion was given a place and the architects created a 'wall of masters' for her collection of paintings. The architects chose to use the stunning 'On the rocks' sofa by our partner Edra in their design. 'We were looking for a free and comfortable space, which the modules of 'On the rocks' could offer us and it distributes the living room so you can appreciate at times the views of the Alps and another moment the 'wall of the masters', a wall with famous paintings,' Wunschhaus explains. The living spaces and the pool were tuned and oriented towards the breath-taking mountains and the lake. The 3D visualisations of Desire House are already wonderfully impressive, we can only imagine how magnificent the house will be when it is actually realised.
