At the sublime junction where the black volcanic sand and the midnight blue waters of the Aegean Sea meet, you will find Istoria, Santorini's new addition.
The 12-suite retreat is located on the shores of the famous Perivolos beach, a three km stretch of volcanic black sand on the unspoilt east side of Santorini that has not yet been disturbed by tourism. So you can enjoy your stay in peace. To ensure even more privacy, almost every suite has a private whirlpool and swimming pool. Istora means story in Greek. The twelve guest rooms therefore have a link to stories. Thus, each room is called 'story', but in a different language.
Istoria is a combination of rustic and modern, present and past.
Istoria's design is an eclectic impression of Mediterranean influences. The interior is a combination of rustic and modern. The decorative accents are a reminder of the past. For example, the oversized stone pots nod to the island's extensive history. In addition to the suites, there are various facilities such as a large swimming pool made with impressive green-grey artisanal tiling, an Asian spa offering facial and body treatments, and a restaurant under canvas sails with stylish rustic wooden tables and chairs on the black sand. Ideal for unwinding!
