- 3D Visualisations
3d depoo is a dynamic visualisation agency that specialises in rendering visualisation images that can be used very widely. Today, this Imagicasa partner tells us a bit more about architectural competitions and the role 3D images play in them.
The 3D visualisations of 3d depoo can no longer be ignored when selling real estate. These graphic tools are therefore frequently used by project developers. But architectural firms also often enlist their help as visualisation studio. For their architecture competitions, these images have become necessary in order to explain their designs to a jury. ‘One good visualisation can be enough to clarify the design, the programme, the goal and the atmosphere. 3D images have a reinforcing effect, they support the speaker to convince a jury,’ says Joël Feyaerts of 3d depoo.

The creation of these images is often different from 'normal' images, he explains. ‘This is because there is a tight deadline. We usually only receive the final competition design a week or sometimes even a few days beforehand. It is therefore important to know as well as possible and in good time what story the architect wants to tell about his project. Only then can we display the right images and support this story perfectly,’ says Feyaerts. One of the architectural firms with which 3d depoo regularly collaborates is Architektenburo Jef Van Oevelen from Ekeren, Antwerp. Above you can see some examples of their work.
The visualisation company also frequently works with WE-S architecten from Ghent. Together with project developer Steenoven, Feyaerts and his team have worked out a competition for a housing project called ‘Diependale’ in Oudenaarde. Visualisations by 3d depoo
