The Australian studio Nina Maya Interiors is specialised in creating beautiful residential and commercial spaces. With her refined style, the designer is anything but a novice and she is no stranger to Imagicasa either. Today we present Northbridge Residence, a project that is in full construction.
Northbridge Residence is in Sydney, Australia and is a renovation project that was partly assigned to Nina Maya Interiors. The building has no less than five floors and already had a rich history before it ended up with the studio. The house looks out over Sugarloaf Bay and on the outside consists mainly of glass and steel. The clients desire a result that aligns with the previous work they have seen of Nina Maya. Essentially, this means a pure whole with tints of white in which luxurious lines cross. The customers can also find luxury outside since there is a spacious swimming pool that was repositioned by Ian Traill. Nevertheless, many elements were altered inside as well. For example, several walls were removed and ceilings were heightened, therefore, the available space considerably increased. All five floors were provided with floating stairs, as well as floor-to-ceiling windows
Neutral tones that are alternated by expressive colour accents in a controlled manner.
An obvious presence in the interior is Nina Maya’s preference for organic lines and curved shapes. The open living space contains the dining area, the kitchen and the sitting room. In all three zones curves were applied, mostly in the form of seating. Several pieces of furniture were custom-made, such as the coffee table from Oliver Tanner and the dining table and dining chairs from Contempo & Co. In this centrally located heart of the house, you immediately get an idea of the colour palette that is also used in the other areas of the home. It concerns neutral tones that are alternated by expressive colour accents in a controlled manner. Furthermore, in Northbridge Residence you find an office, a lounge area and several bedrooms, among which a guestroom and the master bedroom with open bathroom. Italian marble was used for the sink, which contrasts with the otherwise plain surfaces in the room. Everywhere in Northbridge Residence the qualitative materials reach their full potential and the interior is completed by the right decorative pieces and artworks. Nina Maya provided Northbridge Residence with a fresh interior that feels homely and, simultaneously, was composed with a critical eye. Namely, inviting rooms go hand in hand with the charm of space and quality. Undoubtedly, the clients will enjoy every day of their spacious home, which with this new look can be their home for many years to come.
