For the furnishing of his latest wellness centre, client Frank Maimouni only wanted natural elements such as wood, clay, tadelakt, natural stone, and so on. He was specifically looking for sustainable and high-quality materials such as natural stone. In the Eski Beige he found a Turkish limestone in a light beige color, with subtle color variations.
Frank believes that this is the only natural stone that reflects nature at its best, and this because of the presence of the visible fossils and small veins. The Sabbiatino finish by Beltrami gives the Eski Beige a luxurious and contemporary look. Sabbiatino is the brushing and sandblasting of the original surface so that a kind of leather look emerges.
"Beltrami played an important advisory role by providing the customer with the correct technical information about maintenance and installation."
The Eski Beige is geologically classified as an organic clastic limestone, which is why Beltrami advised to install the natural stone by gluing it. It was the director of Beltrami Natural Stone himself, Mr. Herwig Callewier, who selected the Eski Beige from the Gurcel quarry in Turkey. Beltrami played an important advisory role by providing the customer with the correct technical information about maintenance and installation so that the stone could be installed as well as floor and wall covering in the different parts of the wellness complex.
