In 1962, Jos De Backer started his business in fireplaces. Today, grandson Yagho runs the family business JDB Haarden en Interieur, where the craft of fireplace building and interior design is further refined. Three generations of craftsmanship form the backbone of a company that resolutely opts for quality, refinement and a total experience.
JDB Haarden en Interieur focuses on high-end total projects in which fireplaces are central. From initial sketch to finished result, every step is managed internally. The team consists of joiners, metalworkers and lacquerers - each with their own specialisation, together responsible for the technical perfection and aesthetic coherence of each project. At JDB, the fireplace is part of an architectural and functional whole that is matched to the space, the user and the material. Whether it is a sleek gas fireplace, a bioethanol model or a classic wood-burning stove - anything is possible, as long as it matches the context and expectations. 
Besides the different fuels, JDB also offers a wide choice of finishes and installation options. In its own workshop, fireplace walls and bespoke cabinets are produced that complement the warmth of the fire with visual tranquillity. Each design is meticulously prepared, measured and installed.
