Inspiration can come from anywhere and take any form. When a designer can turn those influences into something that stimulates our creativity and is a true sign of talent, we immediately become happy. This time, Maria Dudkina came up with a habitation that bears strong similarities to the texture and consistency of meringue: a description that immediately grabbed our attention.
Watching an American film with cosy rooms reminiscent of a nest was the starting point for this project. Indeed, Dudkina was very charmed by the idea of a warm refuge where you seek the flames of a fireplace and roast marshmallows in good company. From this idea, she decided to design a house made of a rocky structure that looks something like this delicacy, as well as meringue. Therefore, when looking at the walls, you will quickly think of their elastic consistency and, in addition, they are roughly the same colour. The result is more than worth it, as any fan of pioneering architecture will get a taste for a sequel with this design. Moreover, with a 3D printer, this original plan can become a reality, so such prospects make it all even more exciting. This is not the first time the designer has pushed the boundaries of imagination, and we hope she will continue doing so for a long time to come. The various images allow you to imagine all kinds of scenarios for the fantasy story that takes place in these rooms. In a future world, dwellings like this may become a common phenomenon, but for now there is an air of mysticism around them. You can see, for example, the fluid façade of the complex, with curved openings and a structure that allows for a swimming pool. Inside, there are several places that could count as living rooms, each with a vaulted ceiling and the same structure that you can push in with a caress of your hand. By keeping the loose furnishings in the same colour palette as all the walls, the designer created a harmonious result. From the very first sight, you can imagine how friends and family will find each other here and make full use of the cosy potential. Yet our favourite is another room - the library. A large number of shelves were embedded in the round walls on which an impressive collection of books rests. You do not need to physically enter the room to get a height of the relaxed intellectuality that hangs in the air here.
A rocky structure that looks something like this meringue
This fantasy home was born from the idea of giving a concrete face to marshmallows and the atmosphere that often accompanies them. With impressive visualisations of a creative architecture, Maria Dudkina once again makes our mouths drop. We may rest assured that this will not be the last time.
