During Milano Design Week 2024, Tacchini presented an exciting mix of new collaborations and historical reissues in two unique and immersive spaces. With a special collaboration with cc-tapis and innovative designs at the Salone del Mobile, Tacchini explored the boundaries of timeless design.
A highlight of design week was the collaboration between Tacchini and cc-tapis at the Rude Arts Club, designed by visionary British designer Faye Toogood. This space in Piazza Santo Stefano, 10, Milano, offered an intimate escape from the hustle and bustle of the fair and celebrated the combined vision of two distinctive collections: ‘Rude’ and ‘Cosmic’. ‘Rude’ is the third collaboration between Toogood and cc-tapis and consists of handmade rugs that hang on the walls like works of art. ‘Cosmic’ marks the first collaboration between Toogood and Tacchini and combines unconventional forms with Tacchini's refined craftsmanship. Visitors here could enjoy an immersive experience, where they can not only see the designs, but also feel the inspiration and energy that brought them to life. At the Salone del Mobile 2024, Tacchini presented new products and reissues in a space designed by Lorenzo Bini, with styling by Charlotte de La Grandière. This space, described as an ‘oxygen bubble’ in the hustle and bustle of the fair, offered a serene environment reminiscent of the warmth and hospitality of a home. An important new product is the ‘Clockwise’ marble table, a collaboration with Cypriot designer Michael Anastassiades. Combining simplicity, monumentality and a touch of humour, this table continues Tacchini's dining area that began last year. Next to this table was the historic ‘Paola’ chair by Vico Magistretti, which blends harmoniously with contemporary design. Tacchini remains true to its philosophy of combining past and present. The new collection includes works by great design masters such as Joe Colombo's ‘Additional System’ and Gianfranco Frattini's ‘Serie 500’. These reissues connect historical masterpieces with modern materials and production techniques, keeping them relevant in contemporary living environments.

New collaborations also play a central role. Roberto Sironi's first collection for Tacchini introduces unique coffee tables, while Salem van der Swaagh's wall hangings add an artistic element. The ‘Dana’ lamp by Jean-Pierre Garrault and Henri Delord, along with Umberto Bellardi Ricci's metal creations, enrich Tacchini's lighting options with timeless elegance. The collaboration with Formafantasma for Tacchini Flock, a sustainable project that began in 2023, continues with the introduction of new upholstered items. In addition, Mario Bellini's ‘Le Mura’ modular sofa is one of five icons restored for Gucci Design Ancora, a project celebrating Italian style and Milanese elegance. Tacchini's participation in Milano Design Week 2024 showed a deep respect for craftsmanship and a passion for innovation. Bringing together historical reissues and new designs in a harmonious dialogue, Tacchini continues to explore the boundaries of timeless design. The unique spaces of the Rude Arts Club and its presentation at the Salone del Mobile offered visitors an unforgettable experience of art, design and creativity.
