This apartment contains everything that interior designer Baptiste Bohu stands for: elegance, luxury, dynamism and a touch of drama. The Frenchman moved to the Chinese metropolis of Shanghai in 2006. In the meantime, he has built up a very impressive portfolio of unique residential and commercial projects.
Bohu first worked for various marketing agencies and then got a position in business development at an interior design company. The ball started rolling and in 2009 he completed his first project as a designer. In addition to designing numerous interiors, villas and resorts, Bohu is also working on his own collection of furniture and decorative objects. We like to show a penthouse in Shanghai that the designer developed for a young couple. With a roof terrace, wine cellar and large living spaces, this is the ideal project to showcase the great talent of Baptise Bahu.
The central staircase is truly sublime.
His typical colour palette of black and white is reflected in this project. Bohu likes to work with lines and geometric motifs in these contrasting shades. Bright red also plays an important role in this luxurious penthouse and the many golden accents make it a stylish whole. What is also often found in the interiors that Bohu designs, is the combination of classical French elegance and modern Chinese elements. The residence is spread over four floors and everywhere the interplay between geometric and organic forms recurs. This creates an unprecedented dynamic. Just look at the central staircase, which is truly sublime.
