In a time when production has to be faster and series larger, there is still room for craftsmanship that grows slowly and thoughtfully. This is proven by Atelier Ternier, a Belgian furniture atelier dedicated to customisation for those who are not satisfied with standard solutions. The team works with designers, architects and private customers looking for something that can't just be picked out of a catalogue.
The studio is all about collaboration and refinement. Every project starts with a question, a need or an idea. Sometimes there is already a design on the table, other times we start from scratch. Either way, Atelier Ternier guides clients and designers through the possibilities, asks targeted questions and comes up with solutions that are technically and aesthetically right. There is no room for serial work or compromises. Whatever is made here always bears the stamp of the workshop and the client.
In the workshop, natural materials are given the attention they deserve. Solid wood is worked with respect for the material and a sense of detail. Every joint, every handle and every finish is carefully selected and executed. Behind the precise work is a combination of craftsmanship and modern techniques. Well-equipped machinery stands alongside hands that know what they are doing. This combination ensures that each piece meets the practical requirements of everyday use without compromising on appearance or character.
LabT is geen showroom waar de nieuwste trends worden nagejaagd, maar een plek waar ideeën rijpen in alle stilte.
Besides the made-to-measure orders, Atelier Ternier also works on its own collection, housed in LabT. In this design studio, furniture and objects are created that surprise with their simplicity, use of colour or unexpected details. LabT is not a showroom where the latest trends are chased, but a place where ideas mature quietly. The resulting objects blend effortlessly into an interior and yet always have just that little bit more to say.
Atelier Ternier's strength lies in the balance between form and function, between personal guidance and technical expertise. This combination ensures that a table, cabinet or other object not only looks good, but is also right in use. The team approaches each design as a journey: from the initial discussion about prototypes and material choices to the final installation. Nothing is left to chance.
For Atelier Ternier, furniture design is a thoughtful process in which materials, shapes and wishes come together to create something tangible. No mass product is created here, but a unique object that enriches a space.
