BECAUS is the place to be for the high-quality construction or maintenance of gardens and swimming pools. This indoor swimming pool with a view of the magnificent meadows in Drongen (near Ghent) is also outstanding and is perfect for a refreshing and relaxing dip, even when it is getting less warm and sunny outside.
The family business from Wetteren was founded 45 years ago and since then guarantees a personal approach and unique execution of each project. In collaboration with ABS Bouwteam and Ai&M Architects, Becaus created the unique indoor swimming pool that you see here. Creative solutions and the highest quality are central to their company philosophy. Depending on the wishes of the client and the style of the house, they always manage to achieve a beautiful result. 
This modern and minimalist house is located in a rural environment. The design was therefore completely attuned to this, with a closed facade at the front and a rear facade that is almost entirely made of glass. Thus, the residents are in direct contact with the beautiful surrounding nature of the fields in Drongen, not only from their living space, but also from the indoor pool. The custom made steel door provides a nice transition between the pool and the rest of the house and also brings the natural light deeper into the house.

The construction of the concrete pool of 13 by 3.2 meters was fully incorporated into the foundations and basement of the house. Because of this there is a seamless transition between the pool and the surrounding floors and walls. The wall decoration, atmospheric LED lighting, custom-made ladder and the blue accents of the taps and rain shower give the whole an extra stylish and luxurious feel. The fact that Becaus once again pulled out all the stops for this project can also be seen in the fully automated water treatment package and the automated air treatment unit, controlled by a heat pump with integrated floor grilles.
