We would like to take you inside an extraordinary home where Italian-Canadian interior designer Marianna Tomlenovich transformed architectural constraints into a masterpiece of modern elegance. Combining clean lines with soft curves, monochrome furniture with intricate details, this house embodies sophistication with a touch of warmth.
From a dream closet to a spa-like bathroom, every corner of this house exudes class and comfort. Interior designer Marianna Tomlenovich, together with her husband, a real estate agent, and their two daughters, have created a home that reflects their Italian heritage and personal style. Marianna's design philosophy, which draws inspiration from her Italian roots, combines timeless elegance with contemporary flair. Every element, from the rounded arches to the curved kitchen island, evokes a sense of tranquillity and discreet luxury. The result? A home that feels grand yet inviting, with clean lines and open spaces that exude serenity. When you step inside, you are greeted by warm cream colours that envelop you with a sense of calm. Cream silk walls and rich wood accents unify the space, creating a cohesive and layered atmosphere. Micro-concrete finishes add depth and texture to the walls, while oak floors ground the space. Floor-to-ceiling windows adorned with burnt copper finishes flood the rooms with natural light and offer picturesque views of the lush garden and pool.
Where Italian inspiration meets contemporary design
The kitchen has custom-made worktops in Calacatta Viola Oro marble and Cristallo quartzite, combining sophistication with practicality. House of Rohl fixtures in Tuscan bronze add a touch of opulence, while Emtek hardware gives the doors a timeless elegance. Covering 5,500 square feet, the house has high ceilings and an open layout, with a grand staircase and a picturesque brick vault framing the outdoor pool. It is a testament to Marianna's vision and dedication that it took almost two years to bring her dream home to life.
In Coquitlam, British Columbia, this quiet suburban oasis offers a refuge from the hustle and bustle of city life, just 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver. It is a place where Italian inspiration meets contemporary design, creating a haven that celebrates the art of living well.
