Rooted in a deep fascination with material, light, and space, this ceramic practice offers more than objects… presence. Each piece is crafted with an eye for both sculptural elegance and functional depth, and carries a small symbol inspired by the secret hobo signs, meaning no less than ‘the sky is the limit’. The work embraces contrast: refined yet raw, structured yet organic, minimal yet full of expression.
The studio of Anouk De Sloovere is a practice centred on high-end ceramic lighting and decor. The intention remains constant: to create pieces that not only illuminate but transform spaces into places of emotion, memory and quiet beauty. The new studio, soon to open in Moraira, Spain — with panoramic views over the Mediterranean — marks a new chapter. It will serve as both a working space and source of ongoing inspiration, rooted in sunlight, salt air, and the natural tones of the southern landscape. 
Alongside this evolution comes the introduction of the Bohno Collection; a series of lighting objects, wash basins, and decor pieces inspired by the spirit of the bohemian traveller. With earth tones and sculptural imperfection at its core, the collection draws from the principles of Wabi Sabi, celebrating quiet asymmetries and the textures of the handmade. The pieces are especially at home in sun-filled interiors across Spain, France, and the Balearics; spaces that value character over perfection.

Under the name JABLAB, De Sloovere started an exciting collaboration with two other creative minds: architect Benoit Viaene and light specialist Julien, the visionary founder of Jullight. ‘It all began over a glass of wine with Julien, where the conversation flowed as freely as our ideas. He introduced me to Benoit Viaene, who brought new, challenging layers to the process with his refined eye and sense of space.’ Together, they create lighting pieces that fuse design precision with handcrafted soul. From large-scale sculptures to fine lighting details, the results have found homes in carefully curated interiors around the entire world. Recent partnerships with SUMUM further expand this vision, applying ceramic artistry to architectural elements such as high-end light switches. 
Every piece created is rooted in the belief that design should do more than decorate. It should connect. Whether through light, texture or material memory, these works invite reflection and spark emotion. Through her works, Anouk De Sloovere consciously reminds us how sculptural forms can bring warmth, identity and depth to your interior world.
