In the heart of creative Antwerp, St Vincents has become home to an extraordinary retrospective: the collections of Garnier & Linker. Since early 2021, this boutique gallery has offered a stage for design, craftsmanship and sculpture, where the works of Guillaume Garnier and Florent Linker are given a new life. Here, lighting, furniture and objects are brought together in a scenography conceived by the designers themselves, allowing each piece to tell not only a function, but also a story.
The latest additions to this collection, such as the TARA chair in cast aluminium and the revamped CALLISTO wall lamp in alabaster and brass, reflect a deep research into materials and techniques. Garnier and Linker are designers, but also discoverers of rare materials and traditional craft. Their work does not allow itself to be placed in a rigid framework, but rather seeks the connection between different disciplines, giving it a unique charm and depth. After studying at École Camondo, Guillaume and Florent decided to enrich their knowledge and skills by immersing themselves in French crafts. Their passage at various workshops has led to a wealth of techniques and a renewed perspective on what design can be. A striking aspect of their work is the inspiration they draw from Japanese craftsmanship. Each piece, crafted by French master craftsmen, is personification of the art of craftsmanship and the integrity of the process. Herein lies the beauty of Garnier & Linker: they use ancient materials such as alabaster, obsidian and bronze, but translate them into a modern context.

Founded in 2016 by Henri Delbarre and Geraldine Jackman, St Vincents offers an eclectic selection of contemporary and collectible design. The gallery, located in a renovated printing house from the 18th century, creates an ambiance that perfectly matches Garnier & Linker's philosophy. The focus is not only on the object itself, but also on the stories and intentions of its creators. The collaboration with Garnier & Linker adds a new dimension to St Vincents' collection. It offers visitors the chance not only to experience the beauty of design, but also to understand its deeper meaning.
The exhibition at St Vincents beautifully captures the essence of Garnier & Linker. It is an invitation to reflect on the value of handmade design, the beauty of rare materials and the magic that happens when craftsmanship and creativity come together. Each visit is a new discovery, a chance to explore the world of Garnier & Linker, where the beauty of the everyday is elevated to art." Images courtesy of St Vincents
