- Interior
Inside an elegant tower on Dubai's coast is a flat that subtly combines luxury and contemporary art. The interior, created by interior designer Evgeniia Evinzon, captures the essence of modern classical design, intertwined with the serenity of the sea. Originally purchased as an investment by a cosmopolitan couple with homes in several countries, the flat grew into more than a financial project. The owners, initially unsure whether to rent it out or occupy it themselves, fell in love with the place during the design process and eventually decided that this would be their new home.
The flat covers 220 square metres, with every corner and line matched to its stunning waterfront location. Sea views are everywhere, thanks to the large windows that blur the line between inside and outside. The open floor plan connects the spacious living room to the kitchen and dining room, creating a continuous flow of light and space. This choice highlights the spectacular panorama but also provides an inviting setting.
The flat's design reflects a modern, classic aesthetic, with a strong sense of calm and relaxation. Evinzon wanted to translate the calming effect of the sea into the interior, and this is clearly felt. The whole exudes a sense of timelessness, without feeling overwhelming. The choice of materials plays a crucial role in this: veneered panels, natural stone, wood and linen create a natural, tactile atmosphere that radiates warmth and comfort. What makes it special is that almost all the materials were produced locally. This discovery not only gave a unique, local signature to the project, but also created a subtle connection between the flat and its surroundings. Careful thought also lies behind the colour palette. The walls are painted in Little Green's ‘Washed Linen’ shade, a soft, neutral colour that pairs perfectly with the natural fabrics and light curtains. The result is a harmonious interplay of colours and textures that contributes to the calm, relaxed atmosphere felt throughout the apartment.

The decoration of the rooms was carried out with the same attention to detail. In the living room, a dialogue was created between different elements: walnut veneer recurs not only in the kitchen fronts, but also in furniture and wall panels, while stone is incorporated both in the finishes and in decorative objects. These subtle repetitions create a sense of continuity and balance in the interior. Central to the living room is an impressive walnut and travertine buffet, a locally made piece of furniture that is as functional as it is aesthetically impressive. Art plays an important role in this flat. Evinzon chose vibrant paintings and contemporary artworks from local galleries to bring the spaces to life. These artworks not only add colour and dynamism, but also serve as a tribute to the creativity and culture of the region. The contrast between the serene, natural tones of the furnishings and the vibrancy of the artworks creates a layering that makes the flat unique.
This project was Evgeniia Evinzon's first large-scale assignment in the United Arab Emirates, and although she initially felt some reluctance about the construction phase and the sourcing process, everything went smoothly and within a remarkably short timeframe of four months. For the clients, who discovered Dubai as a new home base, it became essential that their flat be not only a place of comfort and luxury, but also a reflection of the local culture and atmosphere. The final result is a masterpiece of balance: a place that exudes the tranquillity and elegance of the sea, while reflecting the modern, cosmopolitan nature of Dubai. The interior is both comfortable and inspiring, just like the sea breeze gently blowing through the open windows. For the owners, this has become more than just a flat - it is a haven, a place where contemporary art and luxury go hand in hand with a deep connection to the location."
