In 2021, the design world saw the birth of a new star: Dawid Konieczny Interiors. Led by Dawid Konieczny, a visionary Polish architect, the studio has become a beacon of creativity. Known for blurring the boundaries between genres, he combines functionality with sophistication in every design. With an impressive portfolio ranging from private homes to commercial projects, Konieczny has established himself as an innovative force in the design world. Whether it is an intimate flat or a large project, the studio continues to push boundaries and show how design can surprise and inspire. His latest project, a corner flat in a prestigious Warsaw residence, is a perfect example of his talent. In the shadow of the glass skyscrapers of the bustling Wola district, Dawid redefined a space that initially struggled with an unnatural layout. The result? A masterpiece that captivates visually and offers effortless comfort. The original flat had a cluttered layout with limited functionality. Dawid, however, saw opportunity in the challenge. His approach is always in-depth: he analyses the unique circumstances of a space and chooses materials and shapes that lead to expressive but understated visual effects. He chose a monochrome palette, making the space feel harmonious and soothing, while subtle accents draw attention. The transformation began with a striking element: an oval wall that subtly separates the bedroom from the rest of the flat. This choice not only created an intimate sleeping space, but also made room for a generous wardrobe. The use of natural materials, such as textured plaster in soft beige tones and oiled oak veneers, brings a warm, organic atmosphere.
The kitchen, a harmonious interplay of oak veneer and plaster, exudes simplicity and elegance
The platform running through the flat serves both as a visual connection and functional support. The kitchen, a harmonious interplay of oak veneer and plaster, exudes simplicity and elegance. Classic design pieces like the Pierre Jeanneret chairs and &tradition's Formakami lamp add sophistication. The living room is equally inspiring.A sofa, integrated into the platform, is combined with the playful Roly Poly armchair and a table made of mangrove wood. Each piece of furniture has been carefully chosen to enhance the aesthetic of the space without compromising on comfort. The bedroom, a masterpiece of minimalist design, includes a bedstead completely covered in textured plaster and three practical storage drawers. A mirrored wardrobe visually enlarges the space and adds a touch of luxury. Details such as sconces by Casa Gitane and stools by Zara Home complete the space. The bathroom is an oasis of understated luxury. Clad in micro-cement in a rich brandy colour, the space is enhanced by a breathtaking Calcatta Viola marble basin and black fixtures by Ramon Soler. The interplay of textures and colours results in an understated yet luxurious ambience. With this stunning project, Dawid Konieczny once again demonstrates his unique ability to bring a space to life. Combining functionality with refined aesthetics, he proves that even the most challenging spaces can transform into a haven of style and comfort. In short, his designs are not just stunning visually; they tell a story, rooted in craftsmanship and a deep appreciation for detail. This project is a tribute to his talent and a promise of things to come.
