The high-end community of Dubai's Arabian Ranches neighbourhood can recently count on a new stunning addition: a soothing modern villa that exudes a soft, undisturbed aesthetic. Thanks to The Niche Corner by interior designer Neeshay Nouman, a couple of thirty-somethings can retreat to this minimalist home today. Let's take a look together.
Neeshay Nouman shows her immeasurable guts with this design: she drew a big line through the house's former layout and determinedly worked out her ideal concept with a thorough renovation. In the end, she managed to create a home of four bedrooms with a connecting bathroom, a living and dining area and a kitchen. Moreover, her meticulous rearrangement and an upgrade of flooring and lighting finally does the house justice. In addition, the large windows invite you to enjoy the magnificent surroundings and garden where a 70-year-old olive tree is showing off.
She drew a big line through the house's former layout.
Since the current residents believe in the wise words 'happiness is in the little things', Nouman wanted to convey this feeling throughout the interior. She therefore chose light, airy spaces where there is room for fine details. For example, the predominantly white look contrasts beautifully with the kitchen made of pure walnut wood and the copper accents. In the sitting area, the creative mind selected an immense white armchair whose downy look invites you to settle down. The black-framed windows also give the living space the right perspective: you are just separated enough from the outside world. In turn, the carefully selected furniture flows as a consistent whole throughout the home.
The interior designer drew her inspiration for the house mainly from European references where timelessness is central. "We kept the palette extremely minimal," she says. Yet she added that she also wanted to incorporate many touches of wood into the concept. On the one hand to bring warmth, and on the other to give a place to the surrounding nature inside as well. If you ask us, Nouman has completely succeeded in creating a serene interior that exudes the energy of a young couple.
