Dreaming of snapping up an authentic abode on the idyllic Spanish island of Majorca, but want to keep your everyday luxury? Then be sure to check out the work of iconic duo Paulo and Stefan of Rôck&Villa. They are pioneers in restoring classic Mallorcan homes into unique, charming gems. The duo gave us the opportunity to go and admire their very latest project Casa Margarita. We would like to take you through the story of a property with an ancient soul.
When the duo got their hands on Casa Margarita, they immediately knew what they had to do: finding out the story of the traditional mansion. The old house was erected in 1890 and had since nestled itself in the hearts of locals. Therefore, the creatives wanted to breathe new life into the historic building in a respectful way by preserving its original charm. The designers masterfully succeeded in protecting its typical authentic elements and doing them full justice with the new design. This is the duo's main focus: ‘Our aim at Rôck&Villa is to honour and present Mallorca's architectural treasures.’ Their magical touch made the treasure that Casa Margarita already was in its simplicity even more valuable. Under the supervising eye of Rôck&Villa, every detail that would enrich the house was carefully considered, so that the architectural beauty of Mallorca would be done justice. The transformation of the property is truly outstanding: both the interior and exterior were taken to the next level with precision. The private garden embraces what the Mediterranean stands for, namely relaxation and fun. After a refreshing dip in the pool, you can relax in the sun loungers among the blossoms, fruit and palm trees. Adjacent to the garden, you are surprised to find a separate guest house, where your guests can experience the magic of Majorcan life.

On the other side of the garden is, of course, Casa Margarita itself. The home's soothing interior is the result of beige tones and soft materials, finished with wood. The living space is given an extra touch by sleek black frames, a nod to black elements of the authentic staircase. A large wooden table allows cosy family reunions typical of Spanish life. Next to the heart of the house is the luxurious kitchen, where a fine natural stone completes the entire space. Once you arrive upstairs, you can relax in the various bedrooms. Yet the master bedroom, how could it be otherwise, offers that little bit more. After a wonderful night's sleep, you can freshen up in the walk-in shower or wake up in the spacious bathtub. The two sinks give you enough space to complete your morning routine in peace.
Does this luxurious oasis where authentic Mallorcan elements come into their own appeal you? Then we are delighted to tell you that this beautiful renovation property is still for sale. Should another smart buyer just beat you to it, don't worry: Rôck&Villa is continuing to search for authentic Mallorcan houses to transform into sublime designs.
