Suddenly it has arrived: the last edition of the year. Each time, our winter issue is a special moment, because we do not only bring a great selection of projects to end 2023, but with a sprouting nostalgia we also look back on everything we presented to you in the past twelve months. The designs and stories we have gathered this season hold something for every lover of luxury. Architecture, interior, design, and art are our familiar terrain from which the best delicacies are chosen, polished, and given a story.
This winter is atmospheric. Both indoor and outdoor, the air has something intangible that certain people know how to immortalise. We start with Fran Mart’s work; a photographer who captures the remote beauty of Scotland. Through the right perspective, it becomes crystal clear how small we are in a world that is undeniably big. A special second stay on a desolated place among the forests; rooms with an organic wall covering; floorplans that enable both contact and seclusion, and so much more fill the pages in your hands. Moreover, we found projects that mark a true transformation. Drastic renovations and designs that repair the bygone glory of old buildings: we love it. Those who are not made for cold temperatures maybe find inspiration to spend their winter at the Spanish coast. We do not stay in Belgium but take you along on a journey to several countries. At the same time, with our platform we inform each corner of the high-end industry which things and individuals make the darkness of this period more bearable – and even welcome. According to us, a successful interior is something you experience with all your senses. Therefore, we have a growing attention for concepts that develop harmony through contrasts and do not hold back from experimenting with colour accents. Instead of missing the outdoor area, we are fully enjoying the cosiness inside. Inviting warmth and textures make you temporarily forget the bleak weather and create homes that truly speak to you. Naturally, artists and makers could not be missing from our range. Subtle wall works in plaster and creativity with paper, like Sophie Hanssens does, have completely won us over, for example.
An extraordinary and timeless inspiration guide
In everything we publish and do, intention fulfils a key function. Whenever we discover new talents that draw a parallel with our own philosophy, we are truly happy. Like always, we are proud to say we have created a varied mix of established names and emerging individuals whose career is still in its early phase. Add to this the weight and the snugness of the winter season, and you are looking at an edition with which weconclude the year in beauty. We are confident that you think so too. In name of the entire Imagicasa team, I express our appreciation and gratitude to loyal and new partners, returning and discovering readers, and every advertiser who has been part of our journey up until now. We promise to make 2024 as rich as the past year. For now, I wish you nothing but joy and a magical winter. That all the good may find its way to us! Enjoy the winter, the cold, cosy days, good company and Imagicasa! The magazine is in shops now and can be purchased via our webshop.
