You'd expect nothing less from an art dealer from Paris to design his house in a highly sophisticated and creative way. And when he then calls in the help of Jean-Louis Deniot, you know that the result will truly be absolutely unique. Deniot is known for creating eclectic but refined interiors in which modernity and history go hand in hand.
"Eclectic but refined interiors in which modernity and history go hand in hand."
This property, situated on the hilly Corsica and overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, serves as a holiday home and weekend residence. The owner is a Parisian with a busy job as an art dealer and in his spare time he wants to be able to fully relax. He therefore collaborated with the Parisian interior designer Jean-Louis Deniot, who likes to combine style elements from his hometown with local influences in his designs.
Deniot therefore brought the natural colour palette and materials from the Corsican landscape all the way into this residence. The terrace even seems an extension of the natural surroundings and has a unique view of the mountains and the sea. The kitchen and dining area are decorated with frescoes in all shades of blue as a reference to the sea and the living room is a reflection of the beautiful vegetation for which the region is famous.

The rustic elements and vintage furniture exude a real holiday atmosphere, but at the same time specific fabrics give it a soft and sophisticated touch. Given the profession and the interests of the owner, there are also many paintings, sculptures, photographs and design to be found here. An atypical holiday home, but a wonderful space we wouldn’t mind spending our free time in!
